Limulunga Town Council and The District Development Coordination Committee Representatives, recently conducted its 2025 District First Quarter Monitoring Program assessing the progress of 2023 and 2024 Community Projects as part of its ongoing oversight efforts.
Key projects inspected include:
Situlu Primary School (Limulunga West Ward): Construction of a 1×2 classroom block (CDF 2024), is on track for completion by the end of July 2025.
Nakalembe Primary School (Ikwichi Ward): A 1×2 classroom block is also expected to be completed by the end of July 2025.
Mabili Primary School (Mabili Ward): The construction of a 1×3 classroom block has faced delays due to flooding, which hindered material deliveries. Work is now progressing with the structure at window level.
Additionally, the monitoring team inspected completed water reticulation schemes in:
Nalwei (Ndanda Ward)
Kaungeta (Ituku Ward)
Sitoya Secondary School (Sitoya Ward)
Other notable projects included:
Malala Primary School (Ndanda Ward): A 1×3 classroom block at 85% complete.
Nangula Boarding School (Nangula Ward): Construction of a dining hall and a semi-detached house at 80% complete. The CDF constructed boarding will be ready for use by September. Boarding includes male and female’s hostels, ablution blocks, open air washing facilities and a water scheme. This will be the first ever boarding school in Limulunga District.
The monitoring exercise aimed to evaluate project implementation status, quality, and community impact, ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
