AUDITOR GENERAL INSPECTS CDF PROJECTS IN LIMULUNGA DISTRICT, ENGAGES TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP

The Office of the Auditor General (AG), accompanied by the Local Authority and other key representatives, conducted an inspection of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects in Limulunga District.

The visit began with a courtesy call to His Royal Highness Mwenechiengele, Chief of the Mushuwa Royal Establishment under Nano’ko. During the meeting, the AG’s team emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and community involvement in CDF project implementation to ensure sustainable development.

As part of the inspection, the team also visited an ongoing CDF-funded housing project at the Chief’s Palace, intended for use by the chiefdom. The team assessed progress of works and compliance with project specifications, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting traditional institutions while ensuring proper use of public funds.
